• To prepare professionally competent teachers for variety of schools and other institutions of higher Education.
• To re-adjust teacher education programme with the emerging educational needs of a knowledge and technology driven Indian society.
• To encourage Action Research at grass root level related to existing school system.
• To prepare teachers who are well versed with Indian culture, values and wisdom.
• To interact with policy planners, administrators, teacher educators, teachers and the local community (NGOs) to enhance quality of teachers education.
